Pony, pony, pony

All of Lauren's dreams came true on Christmas morning when she awoke to find that Santa had brought her the pony she has been asking for!

Ho Ho Ho

Christmas was extra special this year now that we have such a special young lady to spend it with. We traveled to Mark's parents' house in upstate New York (Norwich, to be exact) where Lauren, Vegas and Deuce were all spoiled by their doting grandparents. As you can see from the photo Lauren was quite taken with the whole "receiving presents" gig and we had a hard time keeping her away from her gifts before Christmas morning. She finds wearing pants is much to inhibiting and prefers to shimmy around the house in her skivvies, which makes for great holiday photos that she'll treasure as a teenager. We had a wonderful time visiting with the Grandparents and found it difficult, as always, to say good bye at the end of the weekend.

Standing up for (by) herself

Never a dull moment at the Savitsky residence these days... Lauren has deemed crawling "kid stuff" and has opted instead for more refined activities such as standing, jumping and dog surfing (this is a new sport she has invented). I turned my back just for a moment the other day and found her underneath the table standing up against the chair with Vegas licking her face. I snapped this shot a few moments after the lick-fest.

Lauren the Great

We're vigorously approaching Christmas and the excitement of the season has us all running (or in Lauren's case, crawling) in all directions. Last week Lauren got her first tooth, so sleeping at night has been a challenge, though it doesn't seem to slow her down at all. She's very excited about traveling to her Grammie and Grandpa's for her first Christmas and has asked Santa for a pony this year. We'll have to see about that one... We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and safe New Year!
